I bought this cute owl lamp base in Urban Outfitters when in the States recently: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=26392&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=336&iSubCat=295&iProductID=26392 I don't like the horse though -I think it's missing the simplicity that the owl has.
I think it would be really cute in a child's room.:)
ReplyDeleteI think miss. My almost 4 year-old said it was cool. Abby is right!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you both. It definitely misses the mark. Something is just off about it. I can only see this in a child's room.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's a really poorly executed Adler rip-off. Ick.
ReplyDeleteExactly, Robin. I have to wonder who was paid to sign off on this. Very poorly executed.
ReplyDeletesuch an adler knock off! although i wouldn't expect anything less from them...
ReplyDeleteIt would always bother me that the poor horse had something stuck into his back. Not cool.

Not an Adler rip off, a classic Swedish country style rip off. The "real deal" is much more sleek and folk artsy.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of it that way Heather. :)
ReplyDeleteZee, I loved the owl lamp. This horse is just wrong. Poor execution.
Natasha, you are probably right. A country Swedish rip off gone awry. :)
it's a fat horse...
ReplyDeletetotally an Adler rip-off-- "classic Swedish country style"? --more like Danish modern.
