Dare to be different...
This is a 8.5" x 11" print of an original acrylic painting on wood by Jim Stoccardo. It was made using archival ink on heavy weight matt paper with a 1" white border for framing. Some really unique pieces in his shop. Enjoy!

Something Old Something New
I was doing some research on Bartley Johnstone due to her large collection of landscape paintings and came across this image on Queenie Clutter-Free of her kitchen. I love how she displays her collection of vintage pottery in a very modern IKEA cabinet. And, as Queenie says, "the shelves form a grid to visually corral pieces, making them appear highly organized. Had they been open shelves without dividers the look would be much less organized." A great visual for inspiration on arranging your collections. Enjoy!

I apologize for the delay in posting today. Our Junior Little League Baseball Team won state over the weekend and will be representing our State in the Regional Tournament. We have a week to raise the money to get them there so I have been running around selling lemonade, cooking boston butts and washing windows, which has cut into my blogging time. The posts will keep coming, just perhaps in odd intervals. Thanks for your patience :)

Creativity is so not overrated.
These belt buckles from etsy seller MaxineDear are urging me on to purchase that new pair of jeans. Made from covers of discarded library books, they're definitely a fashion statement I want to make. Priced at $22.00, they're originally affordable. Enjoy!

The Metamorphosis of a Room
Better Homes & Gardens was the first magazine I subscribed to as an "adult". That's been quite a few years ago and I still run to the mailbox to grab my issue. I really enjoyed this room makeover by John Loecke in the May 2007 issue. My personal taste would be thrilled with Stage One, but for those who like layers, Stage Two takes it to the next level. In case you're interested in that fabulous curtain fabric take a closer look at the last image below. It's "Mimosa" by Thibaut. Enjoy!

Coastal Chic
Designed by Jacqueline Derrey Segura via House Beautiful July 2007. Being a lover of color, I'm drawn to this soft palette. It looks so peaceful, especially after my hectic weekend. I hope to get around to responding to all the lovely comments you've left over the weekend. I'm still running a bit behind so it may be later today, after I'm done posting. I hope you enjoy these images. Please click on the link and check out the rest!

Must Haves For Me From West Elm
Lots of fabulous new stuff at West Elm, but these two are on my must have list. I love the color and shape and shade of this Globe Ceramic Lamp. Also, the pattern and color of these Chain-Link Salad Plates is just too much. Check out their new stuff. Enjoy!
