While making an inspiration folder for my bedroom to be I came across this image of a single bed with two twin headboards. I rather like it. What do you think?

It reminds me of beds in Europe.. or at least Italy... where you don't see king size beds often just two twin beds put together. But this is nice b/c it is just the headboards that are split, and you can have the Euro look without having the separation in the middle of the bed.
What a serene bedroom. I love lavender walls in the bedroom---so peaceful... I'm not sure about the headboard though. It seems kind of shabby chic for your style, and those center posts would really bother me---I picture banging against them with head or hand...ouch! :) Just my 2 cents. But I do love the look of the whole room!
I agree with Meghan; it is very European in style, which is a good thing. Another good thing? The fact there aren't 23,000 pillows of every shape and size as decoration.
Thanks for all the feedback. I agree that this room is a bit shabby chic for my style, but I'm wondering if possible to do it with some mid century modern twins. :)
I considered the whole uncomfortable bit of it as well. I'm still pontificating. :)
I love the scalloped bedskirt. Something about this appeals to me.
